Exam Structure
Exam Duration: 10 Minutes
The B1 English Training is a 10-minute exam divided into two key phases: the Topic Phase and the Conversation Phase.
Topic Phase (5 minutes)
- You will choose a main topic (e.g., Myself) and select five subtopics (e.g., Hobbies, Shopping, Cooking).
- Be prepared to discuss two of these subtopics with the examiner.
- You will also ask the examiner questions related to your topic.
- Choose a topic you are confident and comfortable discussing.
Conversation Phase (5 minutes)
- Prepare for six subject areas selected by Trinity College.
- Festivals, Means of Transport, Special Occasions, Entertainment, Music, Recent Personal Experiences.
- The examiner will pick two subjects for discussion.
- Be ready to ask and answer questions on these topics.
